Lao American National Scholarship

ATTENTION:

Due to funding and allocating to other projects and programs, Jai Lao will not be offering scholarship grants for the 2016-2017 year.


The second National Jai Lao Scholarship Program 2012-13 awarded $15,000 to twelve qualifying students (two $2,000 grants; two $1,500 grants; and eight $1,000 grants).

$2,000 Scholarship Recipients

  1. Monica Bourommavong is from Charlotte, North Carolina and is attending the University of North Carolina.
  2. Lucky Khambounheuang is from Baldwin, Georgia and is attending Emory University.

$1,500 Scholarship Recipients

  1. Savanna Huynh is from Escondido, CA and is attending UC Berkley.
  2. Khamphady Keovongsa is from Merced, CA and is attending Brigham Young University.

$1,000 Scholarship Recipients

  1. Phounsouk Sivilay is from Seattle, WA and is attending Stanford University.
  2. Thomas Lasdavanh is from Huntsville, AR and is attending the University of Central Arkansas.
  3. Allen Mien is from Morrow, GA and is attending Georgia Perimeter College.
  4. Medkham Chanthavon is from Oakland, CA and is attending Cañada College.
  5. Donna Southa is from Burnsville, MN and is attending the University of Minnesota.
  6. Zachary Sundara is from Portland, OR and is attending Oregon State University.-Suenalie Sythat is from Murfreesboro, TN and is attending Middle Tennessee State University.
  7. Suenalie Sythat is from Murfreesboro, TN and is attending Middle Tennessee State University.
  8. Ricky Thonglyvong is from Worthington, MN and is attending the University of Minnesota.

The Jai Lao National Jai Lao Scholarship Program 2011-12 awarded $10,000 to eight deserving students (two $2,000 grants and six $1,000 grants) of Lao refugee descent.
