Ban Kangkok Middle School

The Ban Kangkok three-room middle school in the Savannakhet Province was completed in June 2020. Due to setbacks of the pandemic, Ban Kangkok’s beautiful grand opening was just celebrated in December 2022 and was generously sponsored by Dara Baccam.

Our deepest appreciation goes to Na Dara who saw the need in her homewtown due to overcrowded classrooms. Na Dara wanted to provide a safe and comfortable learning environment for the children in the village of Kangkok.

This middle school was funded by the following:

1. Families and Friends of Mrs. Dara Chounlamountry Baccam of USA, Australia, France, Sweden and Lao PDR, as a tribute to the Chounlamountry Familiy who helped establish Kangkok.

2. Lao Americans of Greater Philadelphia and Scranton, Pennsylvania

3. Wat Lao of Sterling Heights, Michigan
